Tasting Notes
Deep amber color, with a noticeably dense texture. An aromatic bomb of dried figs, apricots and plums, raisins, coffee, caramel, vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon and the list goes on. This is Christmas in a bottle. Lightly syrupy mouth feel. Intense? Yes. Sweet? Definitely. Overwhelming? Most definitely not. We have the hardcore acidity of Santorini Assyrtiko to thank for making this dessert wine so balanced and oddly fresh. This is a wine that can probably age forever and keep improving year by year. Most commonly served well-chilled. We say try it ice-cold. With a chocolate soufflé or a very salty cheese.
