About Kyr-Yianni Yiannakohori Last Vintage 2011
A truly collectible wine
2011 was a special year with mature Xinomavro grapes, well-balanced, with great aging potential. This exceptional harvest, the twentieth for Yianakohori, is called Last Vintage. It completes a successful era and at the same time marks the beginning of a new, promising one. From the next harvest, with a fresh appearance, the same blend will return as “Kyr-Yianni Estate”, ready to create new generations Xinomavro friends worldwide.
The 2011vintage, last for Gianakohori, matured for 12 months in French oak barrels 225 & 500 lt. Bottled in 78,396 bottles, 1,236 Magnum, 308 Double Magnum, 20 Jeroboam.
Gianakochori Last Vintage 2011, combines the expression of the generosity of the cosmopolitan Merlot with the structure and intensity of Xinomavro. The softness of Merlot is supported by the lively personality of Xinomavro creating this special blend that reflects the philosophy of the Kyr-Yianni Estate. Its deep ruby color is followed by aromas of cherry, raspberry, plum, helmet, sweet spices, and tomato. In the mouth round, with earthy tones, ripe red fruits & smoked barrel, granular tannins, and full-body, it ends with a gentle feeling of sweet spices.

About Kyr-Yianni
Kir-Yianni was founded in 1997 by Yiannis Boutaris, one of the leading figures in the Greek wine industry, when he left the Boutari Wine Group, the premium family wine company that his grandfather established in 1879.
Today, Stellios Boutaris, member of the fifth generation of winemakers, leads Kir-Yianni into the next phase of its history, by dynamically exploiting the cornerstones of the Kir-Yianni philosophy: the desire for innovation, respect for tradition, and true knowledge of the wine, from the grape to the end consumer.
