Leisure Lifestyle Awards 2024: Top Honors Once Again for Greece and Santorini

“Santorini Voted Best Island in Europe” for the 11th Consecutive Year – Greece Remains a Top Destination for US Travelers in 2024

Greece continues to shine as one of the most sought-after European destinations for travelers from the United States, a fact reaffirmed at the 2024 Leisure Lifestyle Awards. Our country received top honors, marking another exceptional year.

Specifically, Greece was awarded the prestigious title of “Best Historical Attractions, International” for the third consecutive year, while Santorini claimed the first position in the category of “Best Island in Europe” for the eleventh consecutive year.

At the same time, Mykonos secured the third position in both the “Best Island in Europe” and “Best Beaches, International” categories.

The Leisure Lifestyle Awards 2024, organized for the 12th consecutive year by the travel magazine “Global Traveler,” saw thousands of readers participate in the voting process from July 15, 2023, to March 8, 2024. Participants shared their preferences for both domestic and international destinations, as well as providers of leisure, luxury, and adventure tourism services through the magazine’s print and digital platforms.

The awards ceremony will take place on Thursday, May 16, at The Union League in Philadelphia. The Greek awards will be received by the head of the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) USA & Canada, Mr. Konstantinos Charokopos.
