Wine maker’s notes
Our premium Santorini Assyrtiko wine has been named Afoura, after the large oak barrels that used traditionally in Santorini to age their fine wines.
Complex nose with aromas of flint, minerals, dried citrus peel and sweet aromas of honey and bergamot. Abundant minerality and allusions of tobacco and nuts. Exuberant palate with crisp acidity and immense aftertaste. Matured in Afouras oak barrels for 9 months.
Afoura is best served at 12oC. It accompanies superbly grilled fatty fish, lobster spaghetti, grilled scampi.
Tip: The shipping cost per bottle drops significantly the more bottles you buy. Join forces with friends and family to buy more bottles and bring the cost down.
