Wine maker’s notes 

Classic red vinification for this ancient local red variety. 12months in French oak barrels of third use and 12 months in the bottle.

We produce with great care around 3,300 bottles of Mavrotragano. Born on the volcanic terroir of Santorini, this native variety is truly rare as it covers less than 3% of the island’s vineyards. The low-yielding, small grapes offer cult-status wines of sheer individuality. Ruby red color with paler highlights, a vigorous cocktail of red and black fruit, spices, minerals, tobacco, and gentle tannins.

It is perfectly combined with intense taste meat dishes. Best served at 18 oC.
