Installation of SeaTrac on Santorini Beaches

Santorini is enhancing its accessibility with the installation of the SeaTrac system on two of its beaches. This innovative system allows individuals with mobility difficulties to enjoy safe and independent access to the sea. It is also a helpful tool for families and caregivers, enabling them to more easily accompany their loved ones to the beach.

The first SeaTrac is located at the beginning of Perissa Beach (Kolada). To facilitate its use, a specially designed changing room for individuals with disabilities has been installed, along with designated parking spaces near the wooden access ramp leading from the road to the SeaTrac system.

The second SeaTrac is installed on Kamari Beach, situated north of El Greco, offering similar amenities for accessibility.

Beachgoers near SeaTrac installations, especially parents with young children, are advised to exercise caution and take necessary precautions to avoid accidents and injuries.

The Municipality of Thira has announced ongoing efforts to acquire additional SeaTrac units for more beaches across the island. This initiative aims to ensure that no one is excluded from the benefits and enjoyment of the sea.
